The White Star Line from Great Britain was one of the world's largest shipping lines and owned large ships such as Britannic, Olympic and even Titanic. The White Star whistle is a classic model of those used on their ships. The whistle was to be small and fit in the pocket while making loud notes to be heard throughout the ship.
