The clip is cast in impact-resistant, insulating plastic, which can withstand the heat that a 230 V strip can develop during operation, and the compact shape ensures a clean expression that disappears in profiles or behind moldings. SmartClip is IP20 rated and may therefore only be used in dry, indoor environments.
